Hi everybody! So now it's time to release some new The Mary Onettes material. A long time has gone by since the latest release. A lot of work has been done, but a lot of work was actually just a waste of time. Last summer I basically lost every song I've ever recorded with The Mary Onettes. My hard-drive with all my music was stolen in my car one fine afternoon in Stockholm, the very same fine afternoon we came home from our US tour, the very same day I was feeling thrilled to come home and start the process of finishing our new album. Of course I had made a backup copy on my computer at home. But for some reason a power failure in the building made that hard drive collapse to. Unbelievable. I was speechless for days. The only thing I felt was right at that moment was to take a break. A few days after the burglary we went to Spain to do the Primavera Festival and that was quite uplifting I have to say. Some kind of new hope was established. The summer went by, the longest summer I've ever had I think. A lot of unhappiness and unfortunate things came along, but despite the adversity we were able to start the recording process in late September again. To be honest it felt like a never-ending process. Still does. My lack of will to do it all over again was really obvious in the beginning of the recordings. But slowly I felt more and more comfortable with it. As I am the one spending most of the time in the studio we usually only do some brief sessions with the whole group But this time Henrik became more involved in the recordings and that was a big relief. I went to my hometown a lot. As a matter of fact i keep coming back to that stupid city all the time. Most of all because our families live there but also because I always find the right inspiration there. And that brings us to the new three track EP we're now releasing. The name of the Ep is "Dare" from the title track. "Dare" was written and partly recorded in a little studio in my hometown (Jönköping) that belongs to a good friend of mine. We used real strings for the song which we recorded in a small church nearby our hometown. The other two tracks "kicks" and "God Knows I Had Plans" are pretty much leftovers we've never recorded before. I think it's nice we could use them on this EP. We're glad to be a little closer to the album release. Hope you like what so far is a little taste of that album. "Dare" and "God knows i had plans" are now on our myspace, hope you like it (we do). We had a great time touring north America and would like to say thank you to everyone that went to see us! Some pictures of our adventures will be up ASAP. We also want to thank Blacklist for beeing a great band and for letting us use their backline, see you guys soon! We also like to show our deepest love to the people of Catalonia and Barcelona, to come back to such a beautiful crowd and to play at Primavera was for us something really special, and as always, the fikasound crew did a splendid job. We can now confirm that TMO will perform at the fabulous PRIMAVERA SOUND FESTIVAL in Barcelona, Spain 29-31 of may. It will be truly great to meet the amazing spanish audience once again! TMO will also perform in Sweden at ARVIKAFESTIVALEN 3-5 of July. Exact dates and time will be put up on our myspace and the homepage as soon as we have all the info. Our debut album is now released in the states! After only two weeks on the shelves everything seems to be working out pretty good. This week, starting from today and seven days ahead, TMO has got the amazing spot "single of the week" on iTunes (USA). We think this is very nice!! We are also in the progress of getting a US tour together! Hopefully not in a very distant future. All the best! TMO

The mary onettes are going to germany for two promotion gigs. The 31th of August we´re playing at Gruner Jäger in Hamburg and the 1st of September at Club Revolver in Berlin. A longer tour is planed later this year i Germany and Spain. Love/The Mary Onettes
